BLIND SPOT PARTY

Explained in under 2 minutes

The rules

8 rules, 1 minute. Picture first, then the sentence.

GOAL & SETUP

Goal: get rid of all your cards. 15 face-down cards each (2–4 players: 25), rest back in the box. 1 card face up in the middle. “3, 2, 1 – SPOT!”: all flip.

HOW TO PLAY

All at once: 1 What’s missing in the middle? 2 Tap it on your card and shout its name. 3 Slam your card on top – it’s the new target.

COLOUR COUNTS

An icon only counts in its real colour – a blue banana is missing. One missing AND one wrongly coloured? The missing one counts; the colour is just bait.

BLIND SPOT!

Missing on your card too (or wrong colour there)? Shout “BLIND SPOT!”, slam without tapping, then flip your next card on top: it’s the new target.

ALL IN!

All 10 icons there and real? Slap the center and shout “ALL IN!”. Lowest hand wins: play your card as the new target + slide 1 card under the pile.

SWAP! & TIES

A card with a glowing frame becomes the new target: everyone passes their pile to the left. A tie? First to shout wins – otherwise rock, paper, scissors.

FALSE ALARM

Wrong shout or no tap? Take your card back and put the bottom center card under your pile. Dispute? Lift the top center card.

GAME END & TIP

The first player with no cards left wins. Tip for your first round: no penalty for false alarms – everyone learns the icons.

Try it: what’s missing?

All 10 icons: banana, flamingo, cactus, pizza, penguin, crown, heart, dolphin, carrot, ghost. Which one is missing – or wrongly coloured?

Take the real blind spot test

Close your left eye. Look at the cross with your right eye. Slowly move closer to the screen (about 30–40 cm) – at some point the dot disappears. That’s your blind spot.

FAQ

What’s the difference between a normal play and BLIND SPOT?

Normal: the missing icon is on your card – tap it, shout its name, play your card. BLIND SPOT: it’s missing on your card too (or wrongly coloured there). Shout “BLIND SPOT!”, play without tapping and immediately flip your next card on top – that’s the new target. Two cards gone at once.

Two players slam at the same time – who gets it?

Whoever shouted first. If it’s truly simultaneous, rock, paper, scissors decides.

False alarm, but only the start card is in the middle?

Just take your card back. There’s no penalty card yet.

BLIND SPOT or ALL IN with my last card?

Play it – you have no cards left and win. The extra card is skipped.

Why does another card go on top after BLIND SPOT?

Otherwise your card would be the new target – and the same icon is missing on it. Everyone would already know the answer. So you flip your next card straight away: new target, new search. Flip it away from you so you can’t peek.

The start card has a glowing frame?

No SWAP – just start playing. SWAP only counts when such a card becomes the new target during the game.

On SWAP, does the face-up card move too?

Yes. Everyone passes their whole pile, including the face-up card, to the left.

How do we settle a dispute?

Lift the top center card. Underneath is the target card that was played on.

How many cards are in the box?

165: 157 game cards, 1 cover card, 4 rule cards, 2 reference cards and 1 pass-on card.

How many players?

2 to 10, ages 14+. With 2–4 players everyone gets 25 cards, otherwise 15. The rest stays in the box.
